How to Complain to PTA About Slow Internet
First complain to your internet provider and note the complaint reference number. If the problem is not resolved, file a complaint with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) through its online complaint system (linked from pta.gov.pk), including your ISP reference number and speed-test evidence.
Step 1: Collect evidence
- At least three speed test screenshots on a wired connection, on different days and times.
- Your package name and its advertised speed.
- Dates and times of outages.
Step 2: Complain to your ISP
Call the helpline or use the official app. Ask for a complaint/ticket number. Helplines are listed on each ISP page (for example PTCL 1218).
Step 3: Escalate to PTA
- Go to PTA's official website and open the complaint management system.
- Choose the internet/broadband or mobile category and your operator.
- Enter your details, the ISP complaint number and a clear description.
- Attach screenshots where possible and save your PTA reference.
Tips for a faster resolution
- Be specific: "wired speed 4 Mbps on a 20 Mbps package, 5 evenings in a row".
- Separate line faults (no connection) from speed complaints.
- Keep all communication in one thread.
