What is StormFiber?
StormFiber is the consumer fiber brand of Cybernet, one of Pakistan's long-established internet providers. It delivers GPON fiber directly to homes and apartment buildings in large cities, which gives higher and more stable speeds than copper DSL.

What speed should I get on StormFiber?
Wired tests should come close to the subscribed speed. Evening results a little lower than daytime are normal on any shared network; large and consistent gaps are worth reporting.
Your package speed is the maximum. A fair test is on a LAN cable at a quiet time. If you consistently get far less, collect screenshots of at least three results on different days before complaining.
Why is StormFiber slow? Common problems and fixes
| Symptom | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Speed fine on laptop, slow on phone | Phone on 2.4 GHz or far from router. Move closer or switch to 5 GHz. |
| Frequent short disconnects | Check the ONT's power supply and fiber patch cord; a UPS helps during load shedding. |
| High ping to game servers | Route to the game server, not your line. Compare with our ping test to the nearest server. |

StormFiber FAQs
Is StormFiber the same as Cybernet?
StormFiber is Cybernet's home fiber brand. Business and enterprise connectivity is sold under the Cybernet name.
Why is my StormFiber slow in the evening?
Peak hours (roughly 8 pm to midnight) bring the most users online. Compare a daytime and evening speed test; if evening speed is consistently far below your package, report it with screenshots.
