What is SCO?
The Special Communications Organization (SCO) provides telephone, broadband and mobile services in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, where mountainous terrain makes connectivity harder and more expensive to build.

What speed should I get on SCO?
Results vary widely between valleys and towns. Long backhaul links over mountains mean ping can be higher than in plains cities even on a good connection.
Your package speed is the maximum. A fair test is on a LAN cable at a quiet time. If you consistently get far less, collect screenshots of at least three results on different days before complaining.
Why is SCO slow? Common problems and fixes
| Symptom | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| High ping everywhere | Long backhaul from the region. Compare with our ping test; there is little to fix at home. |
| Outages in bad weather | Snow, landslides and power cuts affect equipment on the route. |
